Lauren Cesari, MS, CCC-SLP
I am an ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certified and New York State licensed speech-language pathologist. My interest in working with children began in high school with a job shadowing program with a speech-language pathologist who worked with children who were Deaf and Hard of hearing. Thereafter, I received my undergraduate degree from SUNY College at Fredonia and my master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, both in communication sciences and disorders.
Since receiving my Certificate of Clinical Competence in 2007, I have worked with children and families from around the world and have had the intimate privilege of being welcomed into homes and family systems to witness how communication and attachment form. This fundamental need for children and families has fostered my life’s work: helping children to communicate.
Therapeutic approach
Like each flower in a garden, communication is unique and beautiful, taking on various forms. Just as a gardener finds the right combination of sun, water and soil to help each flower bloom, we too will work together to find an ideal plan.
